The organisation
Inner West Council is a local government organisation in Sydney, Australia, servicing around 26 suburbs near the city centre. The position
Reporting to the Director Corporate, you will lead and inspire your teams, facilitate partnerships across the Council and provide a consistently high-quality approach to service and project delivery. You will provide strong strategic leadership of the ICT function, including the development and management of plans, budgets, operations and systems. You will also be an important member of the Leadership Team that has the collegiate responsibility to facilitate Council-wide outcomes that lead to better services for the community.
 
The role is based in Inner West Council's Petersham office with some travel across the local government area and flexible working conditions apply.
  
 
About you
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
  • Extensive senior ICT management experience with a track record of success in project management, people and financial management;
  • Proven track record in initiating and implementing significant operational, organisational and cultural change transformation in a consultative environment;
  • Proven ability to drive innovative service delivery in the ICT field or similar environments;
  • Strategic leadership capability; be a strong communicator, collaborator and have success in developing high performance teams and committed to mentoring and motivating staff;
  • Expertise in resolving high-priority, sensitive and complex matters by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including managers and staff;
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and providing quality customer service, resulting in positive workplace and service delivery changes.
