About Children’s Services

Inner West Council operates 11 Early Learning Centres, 2 Out of School Hours Care, an Occasional Care service, a Pre-School, the Magic Yellow Bus and a Family Day Care service. We currently have multiple vacancies for OSHC Educators to join our professional and friendly Middle Childhood Services team.

Our educators take pride in their Early and Middle Childhood Education profession. We adhere to the guidelines, practices and regulations surrounding the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review Quality Improvement Plans and are implementing the Self Assessment Tool.  We strive for excellence and all our centres are meeting or exceeding the NQF standards as rated by ACECQA.

About the role

Inner West Council is looking for an active team member to provide high quality care in the Outside School Hours Care Centre, within Council’s Children and Family Services.  This includes developing strong and respectful relationships with children, supporting and partnering with families, implementing council procedure at all times and Contributing to the planning, implementation and documentation of a reflective middle childhood program that is based on and shows an active engagement with, the School Aged Care Framework (My Time Our Place) and Working effectively with other educators and staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the Centre’s operations and in accordance with the Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan.

Remuneration

$58,704.36 - $65,748.80 + 11% Superannuation pa (Full-time hours)

$26.40 per hour + 25% Casual Loading + 11% Superannuation (Casual hours)

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

  1. Current First Aid Certificate.
  2. Meet the requirements of the Working with Children Check / hold a current WWC Clearance or number.
  3. Over 18 years of age.
  4. Experience working in a similar role with school aged children attending school.
  5. Proven teamwork skills and ability to work respectfully as an effective member of diverse teams.
  6. Proven ability to interact respectfully and appropriately with children and families.
