Expression of Interest - Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel
Expressions of interest are now open for Inner West members to join the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel.
The panel is made up of five members. Three members including the chair are appointed by the Minister for Planning. Two members are appointed by Inner West Council. We are seeking, qualified, experienced and independent planning experts to apply for these roles.
About
In New South Wales, regional planning panels provide independent, merit-based decision making on regionally significant development proposals. For more information about Planning Panels, see the NSW Planning Portal.
Skills and experience
We are seeking qualified, skilled, and experienced experts who have the ability to assess regionally significant development proposals against relevant planning instruments and legislation. Inner West Council’s representatives must have knowledge of the Inner West area and planning issues. They must have the ability to act independently and demonstrate planning expertise.
Selection Criteria
- Senior level experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders
- High level communication skills
- Capability to drive outcomes for high profile projects in a credible and authoritative manner
- High level analytical skills
- Knowledge and assessment of complex development and planning matters

Salary:
Members will be remunerated for attending panel meetings consistent with the remuneration for planning panels as approved by Council.
