As our Weekend Library Assistant, you'll help turn everyday library visits into meaningful experiences. You'll support customers, contribute to engaging activities and events, and help keep our libraries running smoothly while fostering a welcoming space for everyone.
Working across a variety of library locations, you'll join a team that is passionate about connecting communities through ideas, culture and lifelong learning. Together, we'll continue delivering the exceptional library service our residents value.

$23,478.41 - $27,197.45 p.a. (pro-rata based on 14 hours per week) + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent and willingness to obtain library or information qualification
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public and a proven commitment to customer service and the ability to work and plan effectively as an individual and as a team member
- Ability and willingness to promote and deliver activities and displays to all the libraries customers
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to identify priorities, meet deadlines and work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Knowledge and a general interest in current trends in public libraries, lending services, emerging information technologies, publishing, contemporary culture and experience in implementing innovative ideas to create new programs.
