You will lead and manage the Asset Systems team and be accountable for the development and implementation of ‘best practice’ asset management systems, processes and solutions for Council’s buildings, parks and open space, transport and stormwater infrastructure in accordance with Council’s Asset Management Policy, Strategy and Plans. You will develop and maintain asset registers, condition data, asset hierarchy ratings, works systems and valuations that meet the requirements for the Local Government Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. You will lead the implementation of an asset & works mobility solution, Technology One enterprise asset module and a web-based GIS asset solution across the Infrastructure Planning team. Your section’s outcomes will contribute to the achievement of the social, environmental, economic and governance objectives of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
You will direct/manage the work and activities of your staff and ensure that the team consistently works to meet its targets and commitments against their individual or team work plans and Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans. You will lead and inspire your team, coach and develop and, where necessary, counsel staff. You will facilitate collaboration across Council in solving problems and developing solutions.

$122,063 to $137,420 + Civil Liability Allowance (if eligible) + Access to Leaseback + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in asset management, information technology or other appropriate discipline recognised by relevant Australian professional institute and/or extensive relevant experience in asset lifecycle management, asset management systems, GIS spatial applications.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in implementing ‘best practice’ systems, processes and associated technology, including mobile applications, for public infrastructure asset management with the capacity for innovative thinking.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to implement NAMS and IIMM guidelines for asset inventories, condition assessment and financial reconciliation of capital works.
- Class C NSW Drivers Licence
