As a Streetscape Team Leader, you’ll lead a small operational team responsible for keeping Inner West Council’s streetscapes clean, safe and well‑presented. You’ll coordinate daily works such as mowing, edging, planting, sweeping, weed management and general site maintenance, ensuring services meet Council’s quality and safety standards.
Reporting to the Coordinator Streetscape, you’ll organise workloads, support staff performance, solve on‑ground issues and maintain plant and equipment. You’ll also handle procurement, keep accurate records, and respond to community requests in a timely, professional manner.
This role suits someone who leads by example, enjoys outdoor work, and is committed to delivering great public spaces for the community. You'll collaborate with colleagues across Parks & Streetscape.

$73,696.48 - $80,330.12 + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Relevant horticultural qualification OR equivalent industry experience in streetscape operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and its functions to achieve outcomes that address current challenges for the IWC and its commitments to the community.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, including the ability to comprehend maps, street signage & work schedules and complete daily report forms.
- Understanding and commitment to equal employment opportunities, diversity, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times.
- NSW Class C Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
- Suitable level of fitness to perform the inherent duties of the position
