The Rates and Revenue Manager position will provide strategic advice to the Executive Team and Council on the management of rates and revenue activities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, it will manage a team of professionals delivering positive outcomes for both internal and external customers.
The position is responsible for the overall management of Council’s rates and revenue. The person in the role will be expected to provide a consistent and high-quality approach to services and project delivery which will involve planning and the implementation of portfolio management and systems.

$149,199.96 - $167,926.20 + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Extensive rates and revenue experience and knowledge within a local government organisation.
- Ability to lead and manage a team and its functions to achieve outcomes that address current challenges for the IWC and its commitments to the community.
- Demonstrated financial management and budgetary experience.
- Knowledge of the legislative and industry frameworks relevant to local government.
- Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to inspire or support innovative thinking.
- Knowledge and skills in contemporary management practices, staff management, performance management, staff development, change management and quality management systems.
