As the Coordinator Civil Works, you will lead and manage service teams and associated contracts to deliver sustainable civil works and maintenance services across Council’s road, footpath, car park, bridge, traffic, transport, cycling, and stormwater assets. Your responsibilities include asset treatment selection, planning, coordination, procurement, scheduling, and delivery of civil works, ensuring effective management of resources, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
In the role, you will:
- Develop and implement operational, maintenance, and resourcing plans to manage risk, maintain agreed service levels, and deliver programs within approved budgets and timeframes.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to your team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture through coaching, development, and performance management.
- Promote collaboration across Council to resolve issues and deliver innovative, practical solutions.
- Ensure all work programs align with Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans, supporting the social, environmental, economic, and governance objectives of the Community Strategic Plan.
This role is critical in ensuring the efficient delivery of civil works programs that meet community needs and maintain the integrity of Council’s infrastructure assets.

$109,977.92 - $122,701.80 + 12% Superannuation + Access to Motor Vehicle Scheme
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or other appropriate discipline with substantial experience in managing a civil works service area and day-labour operation.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in leading & motivating teams in the successful delivery of infrastructure works and services with the capacity to inspire and support innovative thinking.
- Sound experience in construction and maintenance of municipal civil infrastructure.
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s License.
