We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head our Roads and Stormwater Projects team, responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of sustainable capital works across roads, stormwater, and transport assets. This pivotal role drives outcomes aligned with the social, environmental, economic, and governance goals of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
As the Coordinator Roads & Stormwater Projects, you will:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery: Oversee scoping, stakeholder engagement, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure projects.
- Champion collaboration: Form and guide project control groups to ensure integration of Council-wide initiatives and community needs.
- Drive excellence: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice project management systems across the Roads & Stormwater Group.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility: Deliver capital programs on time and within budget.
- Inspire and empower: Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Solve complex challenges: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to develop creative, practical solutions that benefit the community.

$124,411.56 - $149,199.96 + 12% Superannuation + Access to Motor Vehicle Leaseback
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, project management, construction management or other appropriate discipline recognised by relevant Australian professional institute.
- Comprehensive experience in leading, motivating, developing and managing teams in the successful project management of infrastructure works with the capacity to inspire and support innovative thinking.
- Highly developed project management, procurement and contract administration skills successfully utilised in delivering infrastructure services.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral) together with proven ability for negotiation and conflict resolution. Ability to engage staff and stakeholders and work collaboratively. Ability to represent Council to external organisations, customers and members of the public.
