About the role

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for planning and coordination? Inner West Council is seeking a Project Scheduler to lead the delivery of well-planned capital works projects that enhance our community spaces and services.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timelines are met across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and major capital works, including renewals, upgrades, relocations, and maintenance. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to support Council’s services and community objectives, while ensuring compliance, quality, and risk management standards are upheld.

The current portfolio of projects council is delivering includes the Leichhardt Oval Master Plan upgrade, Greenway Missing Links, Callan Park Tidal Baths and Leichhardt Park Aquatics Centre upgrade.

Remuneration

$117,368.68 - $132,135.64 + 12% Superannuation  

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Asset Management, Building or other related fields with project management units 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including ability to develop, coordinate and deliver projects that meet quality, time and cost requirements and the ability to develop sound, practical/workable and innovative solutions to resolve problems or activate a project plan.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Good computer skills and proficient in the use of finance, Microsoft project and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain respectful and professional interactions with members of staff and of a diverse community and provide advice/services, problem solve and handle arrange of issues including difficult or challenging customers.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
