What is the Stores & Procurement Traineeship? 

Kickstart your career in Procurement with Inner West Council. This hands-on role lets you earn while you learn, gaining valuable skills while completing a Transport and Logistics - Supply Chain Operations - Warehousing Operations Certificate III (TLI30321) Certificate III. Over the next 24 months, you’ll be part of a fully supported program that combines on-the-job training with online study and assessments. Guided by a clear training plan, you’ll work towards key competencies, complete assessments, and track your progress as you grow your career.

About the role

Inner West Council is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Stores and Procurement team. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our stores function, including receiving and dispatching and delivery of goods, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn about inventory management, warehousing operations, and procurement processes in a dynamic local government environment.

Remuneration

From $827.40 per week + 12% superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

  • Commitment and capacity to attain the Transport and Logistics - Supply Chain Operations - Warehousing Operations Certificate III (TLI30321) through formal traineeship program
  • Genuine interest and motivation in developing skills in logistics and administration
  • Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and contribute to a safe and respectful environment
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office package and keyboard skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, using spoken, written, or alternative communication methods as required
