Reporting to the Team Leader Development Compliance, you will:
- Be responsible for the successful implementation of Council’s Boarding House Inspection Program to
ensure residents have acceptable and safe living conditions by ensuring compliance with planning,
building, public health and fire safety regulations - Undertake Development Compliance inspection and regulatory activities to ensure the health, safety and integrity of Council’s Planning Controls are upheld.

$91,316.16 - $115,952.20 + 12% Superannuation + Access to Car Allowance Scheme
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications from a relevant field such as town planning, building surveying, environmental
health, or fire safety, or significant experience (min 2 years specific to boarding house inspection), - Detailed knowledge of the Boarding Houses Act 2012 with extensive experience in Boarding House inspection.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of all relevant legislation including; Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979; Local Government Act 1993, Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997; State, Regional & Local State Environmental Planning Policies; National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia) and Australian Standards as relevant to boarding houses.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage high workloads, complete tasks and meet prescribed
customer service response levels - Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
