Inner West Council are looking for a candidate to deliver Local History and Archive services across the Inner West Council as part of the Community History team. Key functions include high quality customer service, provision of local history and heritage reference and information enquiries, utilising a range of databases and technology for research and customer enquiries, archives and collection management, develop and deliver history programming and exhibitions for all ages throughout the year – within library spaces and across other sites across the LGA, , and participating in building professional relationships and community engagement with history and heritage stakeholders. This role also includes the provision of services to customers, at library service desks.
This position is required to work 35 hours per week with expectation of weekend and evening work. There is also a requirement to work across eight Inner West Libraries and the position participates in a rotation system of locations.

$65,861.64 - $73,278.92 + 11% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Relevant qualifications Diploma or Degree in Library Practice (TAFE), History or Museum & Galleries or related field and or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of history and heritage reference, information, and library services
- Demonstrated experience delivering public programs for diverse audiences in a public library, cultural institution and outdoor settings
- Experience and understanding of a range of software and technology including Microsoft Office, library management systems, history databases, library eResources, digital collections and the digitisation process
- Proven team player and a strong commitment to excellence in customer service and community engagement
- Class C drivers' licence
