Located on the Sydney CBD fringe, Inner West Council is one of Australia’s most progressive and community-focused Councils serving a resident base of approx. 201,000 in area of 36 square km from Balmain in the North, Newtown in the East, Tempe in the South and Croydon in the West.
A vital member of the Leadership Team, you will be the focal point for all top-line strategic and operational activities across the entire ICT portfolio, including the development, implementation and on-going management of the strategic plan, divisional budgets and all operational systems business-wide. You will be responsible for building critical stakeholder partnerships and engagement – both internal and external - and also raising the profile and understanding of the role IT plays across all business units. From a management perspective, your natural leadership skills will both inspire and guide your team along the ‘change journey’ while also building a culture of collaboration, shared vision and a commitment to positive customer-focused outcomes.
Tertiary qualified in an IT or Business Management discipline, you have an impressive track record of executive-level achievement across finance, team and project management within complex, ICT focused environments. You can blend long-term strategic thinking with an understanding of the importance of maximising operational efficiencies and astute financial management, while your ability to quickly build trust, confidence and collaboration with diverse stakeholders will be a key success factor. Equally important will be your leadership skills - you will inspire and provide the drive and vision to your team while building a culture of genuine accountability, shared outcomes and pride in achievement.
